Pille fans 19 as Royse City blanks Greenville Lady Lions

ROYSE CITY -- Alicia Pille fired a one-hitter as Royse City nipped Greenville 2-0 in District 13-4A softball on Tuesday.

Pille struck out 19 and did not walk a batter. Rachael Cook managed Greenville's only hit.

Cook, who took the mound loss, struck out eight and did not allow an earned run.

Greenville dropped to 8-10 for the season and 0-6 in district play.

Greenville coach Jennifer Rickman praised the play of the Lady Lions.

"I am very proud," said Rickman. "They played as a team, worked hard and never gave up. A coach can't ask for more than that."
