Lady Lions drop district softball opener

DENISON -- Denison spoiled Greenville's District 13-4A softball opener on Wednesday, outscoring the Lady Lions 8-6.

Rachael Cook, who took the mound loss, allowed six hits and four walks while fanning two.

Greenville matched Denison 6-6 in hits but committed seven errors.

The Lady Lions will resume district play at home on Friday against Sherman, starting at 6 p.m.
