Lady Lions fall to Rockwall-Heath

SULPHUR SPRINGS -- The Greenville Lady Lions opened play in the Sulphur Springs softball tournament with an 8-7 loss to Rockwall-Heath on Thursday.

Rachael Cook, who took the mound loss, allowed four hits, four walks and four earned runs while striking out four.

Arian Alford led the Lady Lions at the plate with three singles. Katie Threndyle singled twice for the Lady Lions and Chelsea Rigsby produced a single and a double. Sam Green also doubled for the Lady Lions.

Greenville, now 0-2 for the season, plays three games today at Coleman Park, starting at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
