Lions fall to Mount Pleasant
January 29, 2011

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Not enough free throws and too many turnovers hurt the Greenville Lions in a 65-56 District 13-4A loss to Mount Pleasant on Friday.

That's the word from Greenville coach Marcus Smith, whose Lions dropped to 6-19 for the season and 2-5 in district play.

"The main thing tonight were free throws and turnovers," he said. "We played hard and aggressive to win the game but those two spots right there were the main reason we lost tonight."

The Lions were only 8-of-21 from the line and lost 21 turnovers.

Dartanon Wilson led the Lions with 19 points and Kenneth Neal added 14.

Michael Fomby led the district-leading Tigers with 32 points and Carl Hurndon added 11.
