ROYSE CITY -- Courtney Salinas won the top lifter award for the light platform to help the Cumby Lady Trojans to the team title on Saturday at the Royse City Invitational powerlifting meet.

The Lady Trojans racked up 53 points to outscore Greenville (36), host Royse City (20), Caddo Mills (14), Wylie East (7), Wills Point (4) and Farmersville (3) in the team chase.

Greenville's Brittany Lee Davis claimed the top lifter award for the girls heavy platform with her total of 860. Davis hoisted 375 in the squat, 160 in the bench and 325 in the deadlift.

Shay McMillan of Greenville took the 114-pound class with a 525 total.

Josue Leon and Joe Scott of Sulphur Springs won the two top lifter awards to lead the Wildcats to the boys team title with 31 points. Royse City was second with 26, followed by Denison (25), Greenville (19), Caddo Mills (16), Rockwall-Heath (15), West Mesquite (14), Rockwall (11), South Garland (10), Rowlett (10), Farmersville (9), Wills Point (6), North Mesquite (5) and Mesquite Poteet (1).

Dearius Mitchell of Greenville won the 123s with a 745 total.

Caddo Mills lifter Caleb Skalin took the 165-pound class by .2 of a pound after tying with Austin Martin of Greenville with a 1,230 total. Skahn won the division with the lesser body weight of 160.80 pounds. Martin weighed 161.
