ROYSE CITY -- An 18-5 advantage in the first quarter propelled the Royse City Bulldogs to a 59-43 District 13-4A win over Greenville on Friday.

"We started the game out 20-5 (down) and kind of woke up in the second quarter," said Lions coach Marcus Smith.

Greenville battled back to close to within four points in the third quarter.

"The game got away from us at the end," said Smith.

Bryan Wyrick paced Royse City with 10 points.

Dartanon Wilson led the Lions and all scorers with 17 points.

Greenville dropped to 1-3 in district play while Royse City improved to 2-2.
