Lady Lions win soccer opener, 3-1

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Bailey Phillips scored two unassisted goals to help the Greenville Lady Lions open their 2011 soccer season with a 3-1 victory over Royse City on Thursday at the Mount Pleasant tournament.

Katelyn Twilley also scored for the Lady Lions on an assist from Lindsey Carter.

Greenville is scheduled to play again at 8:30 a.m. today against North Forney at the Mount Pleasant tournament and then again at 1 p.m. on Saturday versus Marshall.
