Mount Pleasant pulls away from Lions, Lady Lions

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mount Pleasant outscored the Greenville Lady Lions 18-3 in the fourth quarter to post a 54-31 District 13-4A victory on Tuesday.

"They just pressured us," said Greenville coach Lesa Darst. "We had a two-minute spurt where we had turnovers and couldn't capitalize on any of their mistakes. They went on like a 12-point run and we just couldn't come back from it."

Ashley Abbott and Mackenzie Cooper both tossed in seven points to lead the Lady Lions.
