Greenville Lions, Lady Lions win in tourneys

TYLER -- Ladarrien Davis banked in 22 points to lead Greenville to a 86-80 overtime victory over Mabank in the consolation game of the Tyler Junior College Wagstaff basketball tournament.

Greenville outscored Mabank 9-3 in overtime after the two teams tied 77-77 at the end of regulation.

Sawyer Harmon pumped in 18 for the Lions, JaQuintin Patt tallied 16, while Oshay Carter added 10 for Greenville, which is now 4-15 for the season.

Mabank's Jordan Allen pumped in 27 points to lead all scorers, while Davis Marler chipped in 18 and Brandon Hatfield added 15 for the Panthers.

Greenville will return home to battle Mount Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. in the District 10-4A opener on Tuesday.
