Seventh grade wins, ties

Greenville Middle School's seventh graders won and tied in two football games against Red Oak on Monday night.

The GMS A team won 20-19, getting touchdown runs of 5 and 12 yards from Treveon Heard, plus a TD from Carandall Hale and a pair of conversion runs from Heard.

Jose Lopez, Travonte Mathews, Dre Alex and Xavier Landrum registered quarterback sacks to lead the GMS defense.

GMS is now 2-1-1 for the season.

The GMS B team tied Red Oak, 12-12, to go 3-0-1 for the season.

Jose Guarjardo ran for touchdowns on 5 and 37 yards for GMS.

Sean Forsythe set up the Lions' final touchdown with an interception. Cody Bargerhuff, Juquan Tunson and Alex Beck had sacks.
