Greenville gets district win

The Greenville Lady Lions notched a district win over Mount Pleasant on Friday in five games.
Greenville won the match with scores of 22-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-17, 15-8.
"We've just got to be stronger," said Greenville coach Melissa Anderson. "We need to start and finish stronger, but we'll take the win."
MacKenzie Cooper had 15 kills for the Lady Lions, while Maygan Bloyed had eight kills and Jenny Hardaway had five. Shanterria Riley got 11 assists, an ace and four kills. Emelie Kilgore had two aces, eight kills and three blocks for Greenville.
With the win, Greenville finished the first round of district play with a 4-2 record. The Lady Lions are 14-14 overall.
Greenville travels to Denison on Tuesday evening with the freshman match starting at 4:30, JV at 5:30 and varsity at 6:30. |
