Greenville’s 10-4-1 Lady Lions, who finished second in District 20-4A, will take on McKinney in the area round of the girls playoffs.

That playoff match has been tentatively set for Tuesday night at Princeton.

McKinney, the District 17-4A champion, opened the playoffs with a 6-0 blanking of Frisco Liberty.

McKinney is 14-1-1 for the season and averages 3.6 goals per game while giving up an average of only 0.4.

Abby Smith leads McKinney with 15 goals and 13 assists. Meg Stofer of McKinney has 12 goals and three assists.

Katelynn Twilley, who has recorded three hat tricks this season, leads the Lady Lions with 14 goals. Her three goals helped the Lady Lions blank Princeton 5-0 in the regular season finale. Priscilla Carrillo and Bailey Phillips also scored for the Lady Lions.
