Lady Lions continue district play in softball

GREENVILLE -- Greenville’s Lady Lions are hoping for better luck when they resume District 10-4A softball play at home tonight.

The Lady Lions, who are 8-5 for the season, dropped their district opener 10-0 at Rockwall-Heath on Tuesday.

They’re entertaining Highland Park at 6 at Monty Stratton Field behind Greenville High School.

Highland Park dropped its district opener to Newman Smith, 5-3 on Wednesday.

Connie LaSalle and Madeline Orr both slugged doubles to lead Highland Park at the plate.
