Rockwall-Heath pulls away from Lady Lions, 60-35

GREENVILLE -- Shanae Lowrance fired in 21 points to lead the Rockwall-Heath Lady Hawks to a 60-35 victory over the Greenville Lady Lions Tuesday in the Lions Den.

The Lady Hawks are now 16-6 for the season, 7-1 in district play. Greenville falls to 13-9 and 4-4.

Olivia Carter had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Lady Lions and Shanterria Riley pumped in eight points for the Lady Lions.

The Lady Hawks led 15-12 after the first quarter. Greenville outscored Rockwall-Heath 15-12 in the second quarter to send the two teams into halftime tied at 27-27.

But in the third quarter the visitors from Rockwall-Heath stepped it up, outscoring the Lady Lions 20-4. In fact Greenville did not get its first basket until 2:48 was left in the third quarter on a Maddy Crabtree basket. By then the Lady Hawks were in front 44-29.

The fourth was a Lady Hawk quarter as well, outscoring Greenville 13-4.

Lydsey Renta fired in eight points and Macall Smith tallied seven for the Lady Hawks are who are second place in District 10-4A behind Rockwall.

Greenville is still in the running for the playoffs.
