Greenville (girls) 52, J.J. Pearce 41

RICHARDSON -- Oliva Carter fired in a season-high 36 points to lift the Greenville Lady Lions to a 52-41 district victory over the J.J. Pearce Lady Mustangs on Friday night.

Carter also pulled down 13 rebounds, blocked six shots and recorded four steals as the Lady Lions improved to 13-7 for the season and 4-2 in district play.

Sha’Kia Whetstone also contributed seven points and five rebounds for the Lady Lions. Mackenzie Cooper added six rebounds and seven assists. Maddy Crabtree finished with six points and five steals and Shanterria Riley handed out five assists.

Cara Tolmas and Kathryn Kimnell both tossed in 12 points to lead Pearce, now 1-11 for the season and 1-5 in district play.
