Three defenders who helped the Greenville Lions to their first winning season since 2003 earned first-team honors on the All-District 10-4A football team.

Senior end Manon Steward, senior inside linebacker Ezekiel Prado and junior outside linebacker Tristian Farley made the first-team defense after leading the Lions to a 6-4 final record and fifth-place finish in the tough 10-4A. All three players ranked among the team’s top tacklers on a defense that allowed 354.6 yards per game.

Seven more Lions earned second-team all-district honors on both offense and defense.

Quarterback Alton Dennis, tight end Jarvis Bruner, offensive tackle Colton Reed and running back Dakieston Williams made the second offense. Williams rushed for 792 yards and 13 TDs on 129 carries.

Outside linebacker Desjuan Morgan, cornerback Dominique Mitchell and safety Cobbie Johnson represented the Lions on the second-team defense. Johnson also earned second-team honors on special teams as a return specialist.
