Two Lady Lions earn all-district honors

Seniors Morgan Bloyed and Meghan Litchfield made the All-District 10-4A volleyball team for the Greenville Lady Lions.

Bloyed earned first-team honors as a setter after leading the Lady Lions with 279 assists in district play. Bloyed also put away 61 kills and had 65 digs, 14 blocks and 22 aces.

Litchfield earned second-team honors as an outside hitter. Litchfield put away 100 kills in district play, plus registered 55 assists, 63 digs, 13 blocks and 19 aces. Her serve percentage was 91.1 percent.

Emelie Kilgore, Shanterria Riley and Maygan Bloyed from Greenville made the honorable mention list. Kilgore finished with 72 kills and a 95.7 serve percentage. Riley finished with 123 digs and Bloyed had a 98.1 percent serve percentage to go with 68 kills.

Royse City setter Amanda Boudreaux earned second-team honors for the Lady Bulldogs.

Richardson Pearce, which was a state semifinalist, grabbed most of the top honors as Stephanie Holland was voted top attacker, Julie Olschwanger was voted top libero, Caroline Weir shared the setter of the year award with Tori Freeman of Highland Park, Shelby Sullivan shared the blocker of the year award with Jenna Gaule of Highland Park and Tanessa Sawyer was selected as coach of the year.

Maggie Brindock from Rockwall was named most valuable player.

Top attacker -- Stephanie Holland, Richardson Pearce.

Top libero -- Julie Olschwanger, Richardson Pearce.

Defensive player of the year -- Caroline Culwell, Highland Park.

Setters of the year -- Tori Freeman, Highland Park; Caroline Weir, Richardson Pearce.

Blockers of the year -- Jenna Gaule, Highland Park; Shelby Sullivan, Richardson Pearce.

Newcomer of the year -- Kaleigh Hardmen, Newman Smith.

Coach of the year -- Tanessa Sawyer, Richardson Pearce.
