Bulldogs pound out 12-6 win over Lions

GREENVILLE -- The Royse City Bulldogs pounded out 12 hits against four Greenville pitchers as they defeated the Lions 12-6 at John Mason Field on Friday.

Dalton McAden slugged a three-run homer for the Bulldogs, who also collected three hits each from Scott Lane and Angel Hernandez. Lane and Hernandez also ripped doubles.

Greenville managed 10 hits off Royse City pitcher Scott Lane, who walked three and struck out eight.

Rafael Sanchez, Miguel Saavedra and Wade Prigmore all collected three hits apiece for Greenville. Sanchez and Saavedra scored runs and Prigmore drove in two runs.

Edgar Bustillos and Brad Ratliff also had hits for the Lions.

Royse City scored three runs in the top of the first but the Lions rallied for four in the bottom of the inning.

Royse City tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the second. The Lions grabbed a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the second before the Bulldogs took control with a six-run third inning.

The Bulldogs also claimed the junior varsity game, 16-9.
