Lady Lions fall to Newman Smith in volleyball

CARROLLTON -- Greenville’s Lady Lions dropped their District 10-4A volleyball match at Newman Smith on Friday, 25-8, 25-15, 25-19.

Meghan Litchfield led the Lady Lions with six kills to go with two aces.

Quincy Watson set for nine assists and put away three kills.

Morgan Bloyed finished with three assists and four kills.

Emelie Kilgore managed four kills.

Jessica Franklin added three kills and two blocks.

Newman Smith claimed the junior varsity match, 25-15, 25-9.

The Lady Trojans also captured the junior varsity contest, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Greenville competes again on Tuesday at Rockwall-Heath.
